Annerley is a suburb located in the inner south-east of the city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is situated approximately 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) south of the central business district of Brisbane. The area was first settled in the 1850s and is named after the Annerley House, which was built by Joshua Jeays in 1866. The area has a mix of residential, commercial and industrial areas. The suburb is home to many heritage-listed sites, including the Annerley railway station, which was built in 1891. The area has many park, and close to the parks, many people playing football, soccer and cricket. It has a good access to public transport, and it is a busy hub for the city bus and trains.
