Yeerongpilly is a suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is located about 5 km south of the city’s central business district. The suburb is named after the indigenous word for the area, which means “place of the leeches.” Yeerongpilly is primarily a residential area, with a mix of older homes and newer apartment complexes. It is also home to the Yeerongpilly Railway Station, which provides regular services to the city and other suburbs. Yeerongpilly is also known for its proximity to the University of Queensland and the Queensland Tennis Centre, which is home to the Brisbane International Tennis Tournament.
