Mitchelton is a suburb located in the city of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is located approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) north of the city center, and is considered a part of the Northern suburbs of Brisbane. The suburb is known for its leafy streets, and it’s a mix of older and newer houses, and a variety of local amenities. Mitchelton is home to a number of parks, such as the Blackwood Street Park, which offers playgrounds and picnic areas, and the Kedron Brook Bikeway, which offers a bike and pedestrian path along the Kedron Brook. The suburb also has a number of schools, and is located near a number of other recreational and natural attractions, such as the Kedron Brook Wetlands, which offers a variety of wildlife and bird watching opportunities.
